An online session with Hampshire CAMHS to help you to know how best to support your young person if they are showing signs and symptoms of Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID).

Here are some signs that there might be a problem and it’s time to get help;

Your child is losing weight
Your child has been diagnosed as having a nutritional deficiency
Their range of foods has reduced and is very limited (less than 15)

We will be discussing signs and symptoms, how ARFID is different to 'fussy eating/picking' , causes and risk factors relating to ARFID and what to do if you suspect ARFID in your young person.

We will be discussing accommodations that can support a young person accessing education, and in turn protecting their mental health.
