It will explore the guiding principles and key issues surrounding mental capacity, the Court of Protection, one off decision making, deputyships versus LPAs and capacity in the context of the SEND Tribunal. It will be hosted by Kevin McManamon, a Partner at Winckworth Sherwood LLP. Kevin has nearly 20 years’ experience representing children and young people with SEND. He is ranked in both the Legal 500 and Chambers UK. In this engaging and honest workshop, Ellie explores: • The impact of hormones on autism and ADHD during adolescence • Navigating friendships, relationships and rejection sensitivity • The emotional journey of new or late diagnoses Ellie is an autistic/ADHD woman and parent to an autistic daughter, bringing powerful lived experience alongside insight and understanding.
